Terms of Service
Last updated 27 September 2026
These terms apply to businesses using Ringfence, the AI phone assistant and console. By using Ringfence you agree to them.
The service
Ringfence answers calls on a business's behalf using AI, and can book appointments, take messages, capture enquiries, transfer calls and flag suspicious requests, as configured by the business. The AI can make mistakes. Businesses should review bookings, messages and alerts, and must not rely on Ringfence for emergencies.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your console password and any connected accounts secure.
- Only add information about customers and staff that you are allowed to use, and tell callers about AI answering and transcription, for example in your privacy policy.
- Check the laws that apply to you before turning on call recording.
- Do not use Ringfence for unlawful, deceptive or harmful purposes.
Connected services
Features such as Google Calendar, email and text messages rely on third-party services and their own terms. Ringfence is not responsible for outages or changes in those services.
Data
How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and liability
Ringfence is provided as is. We aim for it to be reliable but cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Ringfence is not liable for indirect losses, such as missed calls or bookings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes
We may update these terms and will note the date above. Continuing to use Ringfence means you accept the updated terms.
